Alright so.... This may seem a bit much as everything is from an anime. Specifically Chrono Crusade and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. But each song fits, so I don't think its bad. If you want other english songs I can find some... hopefully.

For me, my song is Nothing Else Matters - Metallica. Its the acoustic version but I like both ^^;

I woulda thought Uncle Cracker wouldn't have been known that much. Funny sounding. But yeah, Nickelback is pretty well-known.

I wish I knew all of your charecters much better then I could of course fully appreciate the songs more.. Anyhow it did help me get down some more background of some peoples characters. This is the voice actor addiction in me that's nitpicking here, but the first song isn't by Megumi Hayashibara. It's Noriko Hidaka singing.

Anyway, I enjoy getting to talk about songs, so I wanted to chime in!

Alis
Lunar Star Story's Wind's Nocturne, or The Boat Song - Originally, I was going for a Bjork song because I often associate her with Alis. (I was listening to a lot of Bjork around the time she was created.) However, I just recently realized that there's a better song for her. It speaks to Alis' hopefulness, but there's also a feeling longing for something.

Nollaig
Be My Hero by October Project - I love October Project, so I won't lie. I sort of searched their songs for something that would fit him. I do think this fits him well. There's a search for a hero, but also a bit of vagueness as to what is actually wanted. I do get the feeling Nollaig is looking for a hero, yet isn't entirely sure what he's searching for.

Akikonomu
Itsuki No Komoriuta - I only shared the instrumental version, but there are lyrics to this song. There's actually several different versions of it, but each version talks about the plight of a poor babysitter to the lower class. It's a very slow and sad song. While I don't think the lyrics match up with Akikonomu, I believe that the solemn music suits her very serious personality. And, of course, the traditional sound of the song works for her, too. For her, most traditional Japanese music works for her. I've gotten a lot of inspiration from the Heian Period (794-1185 A.D.) for her.

I haven't exactly revealed her bio yet, because I'm a perfectionist.. >_> So it'll take me a little to get things completely in line. But this deals a lot with why she is now, and how she was before.

A karakasa who wants to surprise people. She hasn't been very successful so far. So, I believe that it was an umbrella(just an ordinary umbrella) that existed so long that it obtained a spirit. Living in the human world, no one wanted her, so gaining this spirit she began to scare humans as a way to try and get their attention. Not really because she's afraid that she'll hurt them.

Sorry I don't think I phrased that right. I meant that the humans would hurt her, emotionaly.

Haven't totally figured out all the songs yet, but I think I have one for Kari.

Oh. Defiantly. I think that she's worried that she'll be hurt more. Obviously she's a very emotionally wounded yokai.

Sadly one cure for those sort of wounds is to open ones self to more of them.

Temo's would be Yui's Again. The lyrics fit as well as the tune. It's also the theme to the new Fullmetal Alchemist (the irony, Jabber xD) but I prefer the improv this guy did over all other versions of it.

Since I doubt I have the storage space on my FileAve to upload all of these, and I bet no one has ever heard of them, I'm just gonna be short and sweet.
P.S. Unless otherwise noted, all of these are Classical/Percussion Ensemble songs, since I'm probably one of the biggest band geeks you'll find. about 56% of my iTunes is Classical.
