Terraria, IT'S LIKE MINECRAFT!

I have been for a good month now. I despise Minecraft, and while this somehow has a similar feel to it, I find myself wholly interested.

Never heard of it. ._.

I just looked the site over for it and it looks awesome! I can see why people have been calling it a 2D MineCraft. But honestly the game has more spice and RPG likeness in it that it really sets itself apart from MC. Honestly you take any cool RPG/2D platform and breed it with MC and you get Terraria. That's the best way I can explain it! xD

After seeing the vid, it's like a mix of FF Character Sprites with 2D Minecraft. When they jumped, I was reminded of the Victory Animations.

Wasn't sure if anyone knows/cares about this... But Terraria is planning to be launched through Steam in June!

See, I wouldn't mind this. I hope it's F2P...If not, I'll get it if a lot of other people do...xD The bosses definitely look like fun.

From what I've been seeing/hearing about thus far it'll be a 1 time payment kind of game. I'm only saying this due to it being released on Steam, and I believe there was talks about it being release on Xbox live arcade and the PSN. So unless they deviate from this plan... xD

Anyone know how much the payment is gonna run?

Far as I know they haven't disclosed that information yet. But they have said they want the game to be affordable to everyone.

Me n' Lai got it about an hour after it was out - been waiting eagerly since midnight on Monday. I just have this to say - do not...DO. NOT. Bother digging your way back UP when you're 40,000 leagues deep. Just find some friendly slimes or skels to kill you and respawn. DX

I thought it was gonna be kind of lame without the rebuilding factor put in. Like how with Minecraft if you die, you lose everything and gotta either check with storage or remake what was lost. But considering how incredibly easy it is to die with all those mobs, I no longer miss it. XD

..eh.

I'll try it out if someone ends up getting the 4-pack and sending me a copy.

I stand with Soifa. I lack the money to buy it, but if someone wants to buy the 4 pack and totally give me one...I'll play.

I should have gotten the 4 pack... though at the time I had less money then I would've liked. Just a note if you do die in the game you don't drop any items but you will drop some money. So buy a piggy bank if you end up with large sums quicker then normal xD!

I've been playing this since Friday...

Being able to keep an inventory across MP and SP is neat.

The first encounters of the various boss monsters can be a pain.

My friend an I managed to get to the second stage of the Eye when we first encountered it. (All that demonite is good for armor and a pickaxe [Defeating the Eater of Worlds is required to get the tools, except for the sword, bow, and axe. {Before encountering the Eater, you'll likely have a musket and/or morningstar, and possibly a harpoon.}])

Grappling is faster than running...

Currently I have the complete silver armor, and all of my tools are gold. I'm in the process of making the golden armor, I have the chestplate so far. I have to say I was a little bummed when I first started playing as I couldn't find crystal hearts at all. But I was playing on large worlds xD. So since then I've found quite a few. Think I'm up to 15? I've only beaten the Eye of Cthulu so far. Tried to go for a second time but it turned day when it had like less then 250 health.
