Well, this thread is obvious, just post pictures of your creations and such. I've not screen shotted most of my stuff and they are deleted, I'll see if I get around rebuilding them Razz

My first epic project.

I can always load the world and take more screenshots, but... that world scares me.

That project was made back in October.

Was working on this project last night; I started a new world and wanted to figure out the best way to keep track of where I've been. Welcome to the Towered Empire, or at least its humble beginnings:

My Home in Two Photos; one from the perspective of the glass wall, one from where I just put a new chest:
-https://2img.net/h/i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd24/myensa/HumbleAbode2.png

My first Tower in game; I took a preliminary shot before I added the roof, the torches, and the garden-waterfall combo, but I decided to give you all the finished product both during the day and at night when the torches shine bright. It's a bit far away, but each side has a pair of windows (2 of the 4 sides), the roof is tiered up until the top, which has 3 2x2 blocks raised up. There is a 'garden' of sorts in which I am growing Cacti and Sugar Cane. As well, I've begun construction of a road that will eventually lead me to a second tower which I have yet to build:
-https://2img.net/h/i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd24/myensa/ToweratNight.png

The tower is above my safe-house actually, and if you enter said safe-house you will find stairs that will lead to the top of the tower. I have 2 entrances to the tower; one inside my abode and one above on the hillside. I'm beginning to move out from this fortified safe-zone. The hole I found that my home is in was actually a pre-made cave that I just happened to really like, so I expanded it.

^ Me experimenting with Farming. Trying to maximize size vs. water vs. fertilizer, etc.

I want something that looks like a rolling wheat field, without being stupid looking. More screenshots later

Higura, have you tried irrigation channels?

Glowstone enclosures will accelerate the rate of return, too.

There's no need for irrigation channels when a single block of water alone, will water for up to 4 squares. Which is why each pool of water is 8 plots of tilled land apart from each other, to maximize the size vs water need. And no, I haven't experimented with glowstone yet. I haven't gotten to the nether in my current world.

You could give yourself the glowstone. (Reaching and collecting glowstone from the Nether has a 9:1 return.)

You don't need diamond to make a portal, if you are careful you can make one just using ten buckets of lava, water, and dirt.

Yes. Using a mold is an option.

Items needed:
Ten lava springs
One water spring
Two buckets minimum
Material that won't burn.
Pickaxe (if using stone)
Axe (if using wooden half blocks)

Dimensions after mold: 5,5,1 (x/z,y,x/z)
Mold dimensions: 6,5,3 + climbing room

Epic creation is Epic. Very Happy Please upload a pic when it's done... or just further down the line... True creations are never really "done."
