Either Thursday or Friday, from what I'm reading.
I'll set up a vote.

I officially declare that I am not voting on this the poll. Not because I think I am special, but because every day would be fine for me, considering it is going to be USA average evening time, right? So I am fine with whatever.
However, it can happen that I get a call from work and not have a computer ready to attend, which is only known on short notice Sad

Hm... Homesteads or the Guild Hall?
I remember a lot of the members wanted to use the guild hall for something.
This still true?

6-7pm what time zone?

Guild hall preferred, but if we do use a homestead I nominate Ray's :>!

Ray's stead, lol.

If enough people have those fishing chairs, we can just sit in a stead. My stead has a GIANT open space that was once a shrubbery. Now it's there for the Rock-Paper-Scissors. But yes, Guild Hall would be preferred.

In other news, guild hall should be fine for the meeting.
Any Qs so far, jot 'em down and we'll try our best to answer them.
Concerns, bring 'em up.

I'll try to get some ideas out there for what we've been doing, despite the crazy going on in a lot of our lives.
We might also talk a bit about the forum modification bit, and take volunteers to look at it.

We'll talk then, tho.

Do we have a time set? Or time frame, at least?

I'm central, by the way, if that helps.

*votes for Guild hall, because really... it is a guild meeting*

In terms of time; why not use the Mabi server time for future timed meetings, since everyone can see it anyway with the ingame clock and count the difference in hours according to their local time. Mabi time is PST as far as I remember, but again, doesn't matter much if you just compare the time difference on both clocks Very Happy

Current poll deleted.

Alright, hugabutts! New guild meeting time! Place your preference for a day of this week here(not tonight..monday, because I work til like 1am and I can't do anything).
That is: From Tuesday to Sunday. Post the DAYS you can and will attend. Try not to limit to just ONE day, but any days you can. Once we can lower it to about..three good days of the week or so, I'll put up a poll.

I'll post my work schedule for you all to see once I get it. Probably once I get to work.

Also, feel free to mention things you want to hear discussed! We want to know what YOU want to know! \o/

(Keep in mind, Soifa runs on Central time, other are from other zones in the US, and some people are from EU! If you post the times you can, post the time zone you're saying this from so we can convert it and get a good idea!)

We should still try to keep the meetings to every two weeks. Given some of the work schedules I've heard about, keeping the same day of the week is likely not an option. Weekends are likely the best time to hold them.

Not necessarily, Kenelm!

For example, I work til 1am on Sunday! Only until 7pm on Saturday, so maybe we can then, but I don't have a solid schedule.

For reference: I am off Wednesday and Friday, and get off at 7pm Tuesday.

Those are days I can do things(or nights). If people are particularly keen on late nights, Thursday I get off at 9.

Guild Meeting Empty Re: Guild Meeting

Post  Khunvyel Tue May 28, 2013 5:39 am

Currently I have all days available for the remainder of this week, with all times available. I have no problems to run a long - or short - night to attend a guild meeting.
I do agree with Kenelm here that we should try and keep a stable meeting time every two weeks, because if we try to cater to as many people as possible at any time whenever a new guild meeting should come up, then we will get nothing done :/

Things I'd personally like to see addressed / asked in the upcoming guild meeting:
  • What is the new management up to and how are things going to work from there.
  • Expectations from the guild to the guild. What do regular members want, and what does the management want from them?
  • Mopping up rumors (direction and destination of the guild, previously announced changes that never went live, etc.)

I'd like to repeat what I said above regarding time zones. Let us just stick to Mabinogi Server time, this can be easily checked by clicking on the alarm in game. Thus everyone just has to memorize their own offset (if existing) and not take into consideration anyone else's time zone.
We could even go so far and change the forum default time zone to Mabi server time but oh well... XD

I feel like this is a non-issue. Just ask if you don't know? Or if anyone doesn't know the time-zone thing, they can just ask?

It's not about memorizing their own time-zone, people still need to take other time-zones in to consideration when doing stuff like this. So they'd have to memorize their own, try to figure out when someone else's is, yada-yada, maybe do a jig, and convert it all in to a relevant time for everyone.

In Windows 7, I found I can add two extra time displays. I set one to UTC-8(+1), and the other to UTC (Iceland).

No, you don't have to take other people's time zones into consideration, if everyone tells the times they are available at in one time format. You just base everything off one common source and never ever have to juggle and translate different time zones ever again.
Because in the end it isn't about time zones, but about available hours. If I am working an off-shift for example, I'd be available as if I would live in the USA and as if I would "share your evenings" even though I am not. Same goes for people living in the USA who work odd shifts. Despite the same time zone, they'd still have different availability times. So it just comes down to hours, which is another reason why I proposed basing it off a single format to begin with, because it saves time and work for everyone.
Plus, when we add the issue of Daylight savings time; they are not global. Different countries apply DST at different times of the year than others, so that is another variable that could be ironed out when just using server time.
