Descriptions IC: When Edgar devoured the Crow it merged the soul of the Crow's with Edgar.
Extra Info: The soul was a rather dark one. It was filled with hatred, sadness, greed, and lust. The soul was of a satanic man who has killed many people. (If you don't understand the basics of being Satanic, not worshiping the "Devil" but it is the worship of yourself.) All these feelings have manifested into a darkened energy that have soon led to the suicide of the man. He felt he was bound to the world though so he took form of a Crow. Looking down over society. He sat on a branch in the woods when he was then struck by a rock and soon devoured. His soul merging with Crow's. He was very confused but saw this as his new body. (Crow.) He noticed a boy (Edgar's friend) returning with a handfull of berries and nuts. He picked up a sharp rock and rushed to the boy and struck him down repetively. "Ahahaha! Yes! I have a body agai-" being supressed once more. Edgar awoke to his murdered friend. The crow was very angry. Slowly began understanding the situation. "So...I am a mere pawn!? Hmph...maybe I can use this child. Hmm..." The Crow tried communicating with Edgar at first. But Edgar was too deep in thought. The sound of gunfire awoke Edgar and a bullet went his way. "I will not die again!" Crow thought to himself. He summoned a Crow of darkness and protected Edgar. It drained him of all his energy though. They arrived at an abandoned building. They talked for a bit and then the police returned. Edgar trying to rely on the spirit but Crow was lacking energy from his last time. "No...! Nngh...maybe I will manifest as something else. Might as well continue the wise man act. Unlike the Crow, Edgar didn't feel he was bound to the world as much so his and Crow's spirit passed on together.

(It is just basically like having that passive Paladin skill tab that remains unusable if you did not beat G2 final. OOCly at least. This power is just a request for the souls to be merged. Or one bounded to the other.)

What exactly is 'the crow,' and why did Edgar devour it?

I ask because I'm pretty sure I'm not sure what you're requesting ICly.

The Crow contained a person's soul as people say they do. I will add more of the soul's background in the power description.

Less the worship of and most just BEING similar in behaviors, really. Irrelevant though!

So possession by an evil spirit from another world that tagged along with him. Not the first time it's happened, or that somebody's had split personalities or whatever. I can approve of this, so long as it's nothing that can hop from person to person and stays with Ed til "death do them part" - because otherwise it would be a no-no, I believe.
