English Is Our Second Language!

Hi, all! It came to my attention that there can sometimes be language barrier issues. While we ask you if English is your primary language in the registration, we don't do much about that. Well, here we change it!

If you speak other languages, please list the languages and your proficiency under here. You do not -have- to give us this information, but it may assist in finding someone who can converse in your native language with you if you don't understand something that's said. Just trying to get you guys the information that could be useful.

Those who speak English primarily, but are fluent in other languages, feel free to put yourself down as well. I will be editting this post with a list of who speaks what as things get posted. Hopefully this is a useful thread for all of us, and helps fix those gaps. Thanks, Xenny, for the idea.

Note: Guild chat is to be in English. However, asking about things in private to speakers of the language is fine. Also, asking us to pause while you're catching up is alright as well.

I volunteer myself for it. I speak Spanish fluently and can speak basic French.

I'm about to complete my third college spanish course, so I'm decently fluent at understanding spanish. Likely going to be minoring in it.

I am fluent in Google Translate.

I am fluent in English with advanced Hebrew and rudimentary Japanese.

Yes, albeit somewhat lapsed. But I went to a religious primary school where Hebrew was a required class and continued it on with tutors though high school. And that is the incredibly boring story of how I speak Hebrew.

Then I have no doubt you will find this amusing. My tutor taught me to read modern Hebrew (which is very different from biblical Hebrew) by having me read "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" in Hebrew. It was a tough challenge, but I got way better at reading.

I can also speak Ubbi Dubbi.
