MABINOGI AU

Mabinogi. a fantasy life released by South Korean Gaming Company called Nexon, and it was developed by devCAT. The game is based on Irish Mythology.

Due to it being such a large game, it comes with high maintenance. Unlike most MMO's, instead of just telling faint bits about the storyline, you can participate in them! The story chapters are referred to as "Generations" which are released in updates. Example of a patch: Generation one -Advent of the Goddess. The games Generations (Storyline) so far only goes through G1-16. 17 In an upcoming release.

The game is released to a variety of places in the world. Hopefully the game will spread out completely one day.

Unlike most MMO's, this one isn't played by just keyboard and mouse. You play it as your sleep with a headset, padded with cushions on the interior for comfort. It links with your brain and controls your dreams. So you are actually there, but it seems the controls and fighting styles are the same. You mainly have to think your actions before you do them.

The world of Mabinogi is a one of a kind MMO that everyone had to buy immediately, it was surprisingly cheap. Mainly due to the fact that the people would most likely feel obligated to buy more Nexon shop currency for add ons to the game, like pets or character cards. You can log in as one character and play as others.

(It is STILL an RP though. So talk normally as if YOU would. But say if you pull up PMing, it would make sense if you got lazy ICly there. So that part is up to you.

This game has only three playable races. ONLY THREE PLAYABLE RACES. Human, Elf, and Giant. You can cosplay as other races and RP in this RP if you want. >_> -shrug-

You can do all your in game achievements too. So you could even go and fight Glas ICly if you like. -shrugs-

Demi can be used ICly.

This AU can be unplanned. As in you don't need to wait till Saturday to do it.

You don't have to be the same PERSON ICly. You could body alt yourself too.

Q: What about the lag? Will that be in there?
A: Yes, it will mainly be the area around you though, but the lag can affect your skills which cause you to lag also. YOU won't lag.

Q: What about hackers?
A: Well Hackers could be IC or OOC, but if you wish to make a good plot about hacking, go ahead. Just don't overuse it please. XD

Q: So we are only limited to the in game movements?
A: No, you can move as you do in real life. Except for the combat.

Q: Will the PVP be the same?
A: Mostly, but instead of just having the race, transformation, and regular PVP, you have a new tab called "Text Battle" which lets you have as the name states. In Text battles you may also use your surroundings.

Q: Can we hit NPC's?! +Q+
A: Only in the missions that let you.

I think someone had a character like that, it was pretty fun to RP with.

Yes, but ICly it is like first person. So it should be rather enjoyable.

DP. This is just an RP that can happen whenever. I mean...not everyone can do the "Specific date" thing, it also can be troublesome for the people too. I honestly do not see the problem with having an open RP that doesn't need to be planned. If you do, post your response and I will happily reply.

I'm confused. Wouldn't this just be us playing the game, or is it us playing the game as somebody else who's playing the game? o_o;

It is like RPing a Person who plays the game. But instead it being controlled by mouse and keyboard, you are actually put into it. You can freely experience a new world. Not like playing a game entirely, but actually being in one.

So...like the .XXXX series?

Also, 1/2 Prince and Yureka are also good examples.

You can look them up or read them online somewhere. (Possibly Mangareader or Mangahere.)
I think Lyn would love 1/2 prince if she hasn't already read it. The only difference here is that you can have more than one character I guess.
