The Not-so Velvet Room - Bart's Bios

High School AU

Basil - Fundamental Magics teacher (probably the only one of its kind), but could sub for a Science or Philosophy course (preferably Chemistry and Psychology respectively). Incubus. Tends to have a rather chipper..."outlook" when teaching.

Draxild - Senior student. Elf. Definitely the joker/placater among friends, and probably might get busted for the gambling jokes he makes someday.

Ennox - Sophomore student. Half-Elf. The timid, socially awkward guy that would prefer to keep to his books and clarinet.

Kino - Junior student. Half-Elf. Ennox's twin, "the short guy with glasses" that skipped a few grades; occasionally arrogant alert.

Kris - Junior student. Human. Kino and Ennox's older brother, a stoic guy and soccer jock.

Rane - Sophomore student. Human. A foreigner that follows an unorthodox version of "by-the-book," and communicates in a matter-of-factly sense more often than not.

Steampunk AU

Kino - The younger, mechanic half (and one of the two brains) behind the clockwork golem of the recent World's Fair.

• Prefers to go out and look for parts himself rather than sending someone else more often than not.
  
• Mainly credits a fair share of the clockwork golem's existence to his partner, but still works just as hard to uphold his end of the partnership by constantly fine tuning anything they come up with. Constantly.
  
• Regardless of his age, he seems to rant on with as much technobabble that's on par with some of the more seasoned inventors, if not exceeding.

Draxild - A blade-thrower and acrobat in Cirque d'Aile Rouge. To him, all the world's stage and the people, merely players--except for Lady Rouge and her sister.

• Performs his fair share of illusional tricks; but like a magician, doesn't care how to reveal how they (or his circus acts) are done.

Basil - The designer and head engineer behind the Sampaguita's development, and a magic practitioner with an unorthodox sting.

• Despite the buzz generated over the last few years prior to the current World's Fair, he still attempts to remain inconspicuous when not in the public eye; he remains modest regardless.
  
• Has designed an assorment of other airships, from conventional to luxury (and even a handful of military-grade for defense purposes [[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]]), but fancies conventional airships as his favorites.
  
• Much to his chagrin, the itch of wanderlust followed from his homeworld, but seems to be providing enough fuel behind his work of choice to keep from being too much of a burden.

Ennox - One of the stagehands for The Three Deer acting troupe. Considers himself the self-appointed mechanic of the group, but doesn't mind observing other mechanics in order to brush up on his own abilities.

• Has taken note of Eva's...occasionally forward behavior towards him, but tries to keep his relations with the troupe strictly professional (with some failure).
  
• Has an interest in tinkering, but has kept to creating small, simple inventions like lamps and reach extenders.
  
• Doesn't seem to be very expressive in terms of tone...

Kris - The specially appointed "Princess Knight" for the Crown Princess of Ethul; and takes his job seriously--perhaps a little too seriously.

• Due to visiting a foreign country, his flippant demeanor is mainly on hold; but that doesn't stop his simmering temper when things start to seem out of his control.
  
• Has a pet hawk named Cielo /Chi-eh-lo/. It tauntingly pecks at the other guards (save for the ladies) when they seem to be slacking off on their shifts.

Guardian AU

Basil (Duo Songbird) - A pureblood Incubus part of the other half of the Shehad sister's duo. First impressions of his attitude may come off as conceited towards others; but seems to have an odd "hint" of humbled infatuation when addressing his partner, even calling her "Songbird."

• Despite the front he may have concerning his demeanor and wins their duo has gotten, he's gradually developed an inferiority complex due to the successes of his roommates (especially Hyuponia) coupled with thoughts of not meeting expectations with his half of the pact to Vorelanon.
  
• While he has the ability to, he's not entirely keen on tapping into his Cubic Rage to gain an edge in fights; he prefers being clear-minded and observant of the opponent out of "combat courtesy." Although, this probably changed over the course of the last tournament...
  
• In order to help his pact maker pay the bills, he's taking odd jobs at cafes, restaurants, flower shops...or whatever else that would hopefully keep him out of violent situations. He finds the change of pace relaxing; unfortunately, he's either had to quit due to being sexually "assaulted" (read: too much flirting from others that isn't his pact maker), or the occasional flub from an aforementioned complex going as far as plaguing him at work.
  
• Feigns not being very familiar with cellphones, but has a pink one with a sheet music motif strap given by his partner tucked away. It's mainly used for text messages.

Kino (Duo Spark Fairy) - A bright boy that tries to be outgoing while avoiding unnecessary conflicts, he isn't new to the Pact Maker-Guardian scene (and its tournament); he considers himself a spectator more often than not. His partner is a fairy witch named Bea.

• One of the more level-headed members of the GLF, he doesn't throw his position around (regardless of not being highly regarded) or put Bea in fights like other easily riled members may get. He'd rather stay amongst the issues they protest and analyze from within.
  
• He oftentimes has to get people to not try the potions Bea makes save for the ones he actually knows the contents of (that don't make people sick or put them near death).

Duke - [Placeholder]

Ennox (Duo Adventure) - A skittish seamster that dreams of the comfortable life. His partner is a wolf lady named Eva whom the young man particularly coddles.

• One of the green-around-the-collar Pact Makers, his views on the GLF's efforts has been confused from as much as he could muster about them; he doesn't view his Guardian as a slave, but thinking of himself as the Pact Maker they make others out to be has left him deathly concerned of Eva and how others may have treated her.
  
• The basis of his pact is [REDACTED]; in return, he makes sure everyday is an adventure for her... He's still trying to figure out the "adventure" part since that always seems to have violent or mischievous intentions with her.

Kris (Duo Rose and Blade) - A stoic spellsword Guardian. That is all.

• Not really. He's prone to hot-blooded outbursts.
  
• Another one of the more silent members of the GLF, he doesn't mind openly saying their efforts are deplorable at best despite their seemingly good intentions; he's even pactless, but chooses to stay by a certain spacey Pact Maker's side under the guise of having one established.
