IC Skill Name: Race- Ice Elemental
Power Class: Racial/Genetic
OOC Representation: Clothing, imagination
Description: Being an ice elemental, she has very cold flesh, and her hair always seems to have a thin layer of frost in it. She doesn't slip on ice, either. Also able to use ice spear without a wand(IC).

Power Class:Racial, Elemental and weakness
OOC Representation: Ice elementals on clothing
Description: Beatrix is naturally attuned to cold elements. She enjoys the coolness, and isn't harmed by the effect of cold. She takes more bodily damage against heat.
Explain relation: Same effect as ice elementals on clothing

IC Skill Name: Chilling aura
Power Class:Racial/Elemental
OOC Representation: RP+ice barrier, frozen blast, ice spear, dragon freeze
Description: The air around her always remains at a cool temperature. The closer you get to her, the cooler it seems to be. This is just a natural aura surrounding her. She can use a bit of mana to force things that she's touching to freeze over, or just be coated with a thin layer of ice.
For example, when she's throwing a tantrum, she can stomp her foot and coat the ground(in the area of the circle*) in a layer of ice, making it very slippery to walk on. It eventually will return to normal.
Explain relation: The first part is just for the area of the aura. The second part is related by the various ways to freeze someone in game.

IC Skill Name: Sleet Storm
Power Class:Magical/World/Elemental
OOC Representation: Rain Casting
Description: By cooling the moisture in the air, Beatrix can turn a simple rain in to sleet or hail. Because it's a magical coldness, it will remain sleet/hail even in warm weather.

To clarify a bit. The sleet and hail fall, but they are not big enough to hurt someone nor do they fall from a high enough altitude that it would cause damage if someone gets hit with a piece of the ice that falls. The biggest they can get to is the size of a small rock that would do 1damage(like the rock throw skill).

If someone does want it to hurt, this can be represented by me throwing a rock at them.

Explain relation: rain casting and all that applies of motions and clouds.
Notes: It will probably last a bit longer IC than it does IG.

IC Skill Name: Chrysalis
Power Class: Familiar/Transformation/Soul?(sort of)
OOC Representation: Pets
Description: As Beatrix's familiar, Chrysalis is connected to her spirit, and came to Erinn when Beatrix died. In a nutshell, Chrysalis is a shape-shifter, who can take the form of various animals, but has her own humanoid form as well. Able to be summoned and dismissed by Beatrix at any time.
Explain relation: You can do all that stuff with pets.
Notes: She can be summoned as various pets and use the skills the IG pets have.

If you're going to ever use ice spear and dragon to show that freezing thing for Chilling Aura...does that mean when she's angry enough it HURTS? Or just the freeze counts IC?

Italics are things that actually cause damage. Frozen blast does not.

So, does her chilling emanation cause damage IC, or just OOC if you decide to use ice spear/dragon freeze to show it at the time?

due to the nature of things not always freezing, is it also possible for her "freezing touch" to not work on player characters or even some NPCs?

I wouldn't fully charge it for that xD. But if 1 charge kills you, I'msosorryandiwilltotallyhealyou.


Pretty sure the dragon freeze always freezes. I've never seen it not freeze. And ice spear always freezes too. If someone moves out of the way, or can somehow not freeze by being hit with ice spear, I'd say they wouldn't freeze.

They freeze unless they have mana reflector I believe. Someone correct me if I'm wrong there.

I think Glacia meant frozen blast. It has times when it fails.

If I decided to use the frozen blast way, and someone wants to say that it doesn't work on them, I'll probably just dod a quick pvp to see if it does work or not. It's really the simplest and fairest way xD.

Well there are SOME mobs that instead of a freeze effect, they get knocked down instead, when summoning the dragon.

I've never seen that happen with ice dragon, but I take your word for it. If people contest their frozenness, pvp will be turned on to see if they freeze.

That happens in NPC tourney for sure, instead of getting frozen mages will get knocked back. I THINK a scathach mob does, too.

Is it mana reflector that does this?
I'm still going to say that pvp will be the best way to settle this. If you freeze during it, it happens and junk. If not, then it doesn't.

Pretty sure it's a TYPE of mana deflector. There are some mobs with MD that get frozen, and some that don't.

PLAYERS always tend to get frozen anyway, so it doesn't really MATTER when if someone says "No, I wanna duel to see if your dragon froze me". I've never seen a player get knocked back instead of frozen, only certain mobs. So I would say it only knocks back NPCs(if even applicable to the situation) and the mobs that also get knocked back.

Is it the ranks? One of the wolves in the beach has rank 2 deflector, and they act the way that the mages in the npc tourney do. I don't think I've seen a player character with r2 deflector.


Personally, I don't play with the game npcs being in that area, so I'm not tempted to run off and kill Dilys. But the npcs that are there would be like normal people. To me at least. Does that make sense?

Well, mage NPCs would likely have MD r2+.

I believe it WAS the wolves I was thinking of, yes. But, RPing as if a major NPC isn't even there is fine with me. Besides, the dragon freeze freezes even the giant and elf guards, so...yeah.

I'll freeze all the giants ever!

But what Oora is saying, is that when we RP, instead of using Dylis we use "Healer 5", which is a commoner, therefore, no different than a bandit or a fomor.
