Lost in the Desert

Elf guards frantically rushed through various places in Filia setting out fires left and right. They looked nervously back at their leader who had headed to the healers house in a huff.

A girl stared off into the distance blankly... her copper hair musty with sand, her eyes stained with tears. She slowly closed and reopened her red eyes.

Where am I?
I don't remember this dress at all.
Why is it sort of burned?
It must have been pretty though.
This ring... why is it on an important finger?
Was I supposed to be married today?
Why don't I remember?

A winged majestic beast nudged Kaylee's back slightly. She turned and looked over at him, tears in her eyes.

Why am I crying Mr. Jonathan?
Why don't I remember?
Did you save me? Again?
