Bangor - Dhinesbeth
~ City leader bio link~
CITY STATUS ( 27.06.12 )
Some of the townsfolk who originally disregarded Dhinesbeth as desk-jockey took their opinion back, seeing as she was often enough out to "pester" people with questions regarding the city, the well-being of citizens, several quotas of production and procurement. At least she is still caring, but in the back of their heads there is still the question lingering when her enthusiasm is depleted or if she has ulteriour motives. For now, this part of the population is content.
Those that remain sceptic still complain about her being too tidy and clean, wasting good water. Others claim that she is sent by Tara to squeeze out more of the already stretched thin Bangor, eventually putting it to ruin, so the town needs no longer to be cared for.
Alarm status: green, all quiet and good.
Current activities: Dhinesbeth shows great interest in the condition of the mines, being the topic being brought up the most often to the citizens. She is also searching for information in Bangor if the quality or the ores and products have been degrading or kept stable or increasing over the years. Her recent note *click* on the city bulletins to ask for a prospector team produces mixed feelings. Part of the population frets if the mine of Bangor is coming to an end, others see Dhinesbeth as a city leader who indeed cares for Bangor. ( 27.06.12 )
GUARDS

- none yet
Special Laws
Curfew: 9pm. Exception are miners coming from late shift who want to fetch a drink at the pub.
Nightwatch is taken very seriously. Naturally, if you have a possible Fomor assault happening right in the middle of the town, and having a moongate just a stone throw away.
Non-miners have to state their business of going into Barri Dungeon.

- Old status messages:
- May 6th, 2013: General mood is mixed since Dhinesbeth Valnuuhr (Bio) was appointed to head of administration. A lot of the townsfolk disregard her as just another desk jockey who hasn't any real clue about "hard labour". They think she will bail out soon enough due to all the dirt and discomfort, since they assume she was always used to nice and comfy environments. Some think she looks promising, and some hold back their opinion, wanting to see how this turns out.
Alarm status: green, all quiet and good.

- old activities:

Alchemist Specialist: Same as mages, but there are more of them in the area of the dungeon entrance, keeping an eye on refining processes too.
Mounted cavalry: Both are just scouts that patrol into Gairech and report back.

Arresting & Prison
- Spoiler:
The city might be a bit harsher with tucking in prisoners, but that comes out of need. It is better to get someone thrown in fast and not give them a chance to cause much trouble, especially in a town like Bangor where you cannot spare a man and have lacking facilities. Usually the closest patrol is being called for, so that means there is always a group of people going in to arrest someone. In the case that an individual either looks or acts particularily dangerous, backup is called for while the patrol moves in. Bangor just cannot afford to be nice and careful to those that are acting up.
Prison:
In short, proper jail facilities are lacking since the half-hearted rebuild, so there are two parts of keeping prisoners in check. One is located inside the mine, the right passageway upon entering. There is a small holding track originally meant to hold some excess trolleys. They have been removed as well as the tracks, and the entrance blocked with a thick metal jailgate. This is mainly used for temporary placements, as well as throwing in drunk rowdys.
The "cells" for more problematic people are to the southeast of the city (the building with the huge stack of logs). This is a warehouse and storage facility, and due to the thick stone walls and solid doors meant to preserve wares and food copes for the need to keep people tucked in for good. Since Bangor doesn't need to store so much anymore due to a smaller count of people, the empty rooms in the warehouse were a natural choice. The part of the warehouse that keeps the prisoners and the one that stores wares has been physically separated by closing the entrances and corridors with masonry and using a different access door which has been replaced to provide more sturdy safety mechanisms.
The warehouse prison cells have the soulstones and other power siphoning gadgets in the kingdom to keep Milletians in check if required, but they are only few and Bangor rather wants to transfer Milletians to other, better established facilities as soon as possible.
The temporary prison in that modified dead-end trolley track is guarded by melee specialists and melee archer spezialists only. The warehouse prison has Mage guards too.
