Personality: Calm, cold, calculating while "on the clock", but quick to anger if offended. Anger often leads to threats, threats often lead to blows. Those he's more familiar with may see a warmer side to him. He has a crueler mindset toward humans and Milletians (Milletians especially, since they have that annoying habit of not staying away or dead).

Bio: Tegan has been a part of the Fomorian armies since his birth, but he wasn't always one to despite humans and their allies. He hated the war and having to feed on the suffering of the Fomors' enemies - much like his mother, father, and younger brother did. The entire family, while making certain not to betray their comrades, focused more on negotiations with the humans. This brought their attention to a veteran lord, who seemed to have the same desires for a lasting peace. After months of discussion, the lord convinced Tegan's family to gather a small group of Fomorian officers to sit down with for peace talks, and would be bringing human ambassadors in to do the same. All unarmed and without guard. Naive and hopeful as Tegan was, he argued quite a bit with his parents about it. They refused to deny the possibility of it being a trap; but in the end, their son's urging won them over and they decided to risk it...carefully.

They should have stayed true to their instincts. The "ambassadors" turned out to be nothing more than a small legion of assassins. Even with the preparation the Astrid parents made in having their personal guard hiding nearby, they were too late to stop the massacre. Tegan was gravely injured trying to shield his brother against the traitor lord himself, and could only watch the youngest of his family be cut down before the guards finally managed to ward off the ambush. He was the only one to survive, if just barely. The lord never bother to keep an eye on the Astrids (or rather, just Astrid now) after that day - his mistake, since Tegan personally assassinated him the moment after he recovered. Those who came across the body said the expression etched into the lord's face in his passing was pure terror - very strange, considering it was learned that he passed while unconscious.

After that incident, Tegan worked his way steadily up Fomorian ranks to the point where he was placed on the guard at Sen Mag Castle. Even as peace finally did start to show in Erinn, it was too late for him. The betrayal he faced, the loss of his family, and the ongoing war turned him cold, bitter, and spiteful toward humans and their allies. He has little concern for anything but seeing to the demise of any who dare cross him; and has become infamously known as "The Beast" for trapping his victims in some of the worst nightmares of "hunter and hunted", often appearing to them as some sort of monstrosity that even Fomors were rumored to fear. To him, humans are the most vile beings to walk Erinn, their allies are almost as bad, and those of the Fomorian races who sided with them are nothing but foolish traitors. All people he'd be more than willing to eternally torment if he could. Willing. Never happy.
