Likes: Long walks on the beach, patrolling Maiz, camping in Karu Forest, and evening meals with all the base camp members.

Dislikes: Conflict, rocks in his shoes, and Ethna when she gets drunk.

Bio: Years ago, a young couple came from Bangor to Quilla Base Camp looking for one last trip before their child was born. The woman was very pregnant, and that night in the camp, she game birth to a boy. But the hair of both parents was black, and the child's hair was red. The parents argued all through the night in a small tent set up just outside the city walls, the young child's cries resonating non stop. The camp members gave them their due space out of curtsy, but come morning something was wrong. They could hear the child crying, but not the parents. Upon investigation, it became apparent that the young couple had left in the night. Carasek doesn't remember them boarding, but he did take a large group of explores back to Uldah, and it was possible that they could have snuck on with them. What mattered...is what to do with this young baby boy.

The camp was young but stable, most of the negotiating with the locals had been done, and risk of attack from monsters was lower than ever, so it was decided by the camp that they would care for the child themselves. Each member helped raise the child equally, teaching him some of their trade, morals, and ideals. but due to the diversity of the camp, many of their extreme traits tended to cancel each other out.

Effie Taught him Compassion, always caring for others around him.
Nicca Taught him Swordsmanship, and a bit of blacksmithing.
Heulfryn taught him healing, and tolerance.
Alexina taught him how to be self sufficient, how to live off of the land.
Ethna taught him how to Dodge a Punch, and how to Take one too.

In return for all their help, Alex helped the camp whenever he could. Replacing posts for the defenses, unloading the boat of supplies, getting ingredients for what ever was needed, Alex helped everyone. What he did best though, was helping defuse the conflicts that often arose between the camp members. No matter the issue, Alex was usually able to help find a solution.

When ever there was a need for Quilla to weigh in on a political matter, they would usually send two, or three of the camp members, because not one of them trusted another enough to choose for all of them. They would often meet up with a member or two of the Calida camp, and together would decide on the matters. But as the number of expeditions rose, it soon became apparent that they couldn't afford to leave the camp so understaffed those times, so the camp members decided to choose Alex to go for them. He knew them all well enough that they trusted him to choose on their behalf. It was about that same time Calida choose a representative of their own, A Giant named Fenris, and the two would talk often on local Political matters.

When Alex was Chosen to lead Quilla, each Member of the camp gave a gift to help him:

Effie gave him a Pair of Gloves, and Shoes that weren't well made, but surprisingly comfortable.
Nicca gave him a Suit of Dustin Silver Knight Armor. It was Purple, and he could never sell it due to that fact, but it was still good.
Heulfryn Gave him a Light Hetero Kite Shield to help protect him. It was a little worn already, but strong none the less.
Alexina gave him a Dragon Crest Helmet. Though the visor doesn't want to stay up, Alex learned to look past that.
And Ethna gave him a Wakizashi and a Katana, but it was never explained where the owner of the bank got these...and Alex decided it was best not to ask.

To this day, Alex wears that gear with pride, knowing that the power of his family would always keep him safe. He spends much of his time riding around Maiz, but tries to come back to Quilla by dinner time.

Personality: Alex is a thoughtful, kind young man who always takes the time to listen, and do whatever he can to help out. While it may seem he is easily swayed by others, and may not always have an opinion of his own, he tries to think carefully before standing behind a position. Most of his voiced opinions are not based on his ideals alone though, and he tries to speak for the whole of Quilla.
