I also play this game, and would love to RP in Spiral Knights as well... Also name is Azarune on it, so just feel free to add. One problem I have with the game is THE ENERGY.

There's not nearly enough, and the last time I looked, crystal energy was just over six thousand crowns.

That doesn't get to be a problem once you start to go through tier 1 easily. The end of tier 1 rewards(like the last few gates) you start to gather stuff as quickly as the start of tier 3 start? I think that's what I was told, at least. So if energy is the issue, just run tier 1 a couple days and gather up crowns enough to buy energy.

The game was fun, but I got bored because finding friends willing to play with is tough.

Game looks like it went through a bit of an overhaul the last couple months. Mission modes, new mobs, new bosses, new weapons, the PVP's gotten a few more maps (dunno about gameplay though, never tried it. Maybe I'll take a look tonight or soonish), a "prestige" system (still haven't figured out the purpose for that, but I think missions'll get into it when high enough), and stages where you can buy a number of advancement recipes rather than having to hunt endlessly for the right thing down in the Clockworks. It's become much more convenient

Gameplay is still the same overall, just made a little more exciting and convenient. Aaand that is all I have to report. o7

Remember this game. Yeah, I've had strong urges pulling me back to it, and recently I redownloaded it. If people want to play it with me, that'd be cool. Playing with friends beats playing with randoms.
