I haven't really played this in a long long time, so I don't know if it's changed any.. but it's sort of like FFT and chess-ish at the same time?

I've heard of this specifically. What's the game-play like?

It's constant battling. You have a team of people with various classes, and you set up a battle. From what I remember, people just go to you and join the battle. From there you place your pieces on the board. Each piece has it's own movement pattern and skills that only touch certain blocks.
