Oscar Syiano, Father of Bishop Syiano (Body Alt)

Character Name: Oscar Syiano

Family: Elena Marot (deceased, Tuatha), Syiano Marot (bastard-son, rumored to be Tuatha), Calvius (acting as if adopted, but has no true connection, Incubus).

Hobbies: Expanding his expansive library, teaching children of the Gods, protecting those who need protection, assisting his son.

Appearance: The individual appears to be aged and wise, sporting the same blonde hair with silver streaks that Syiano seems to favor. He, however, supports a small goatee. His features are not as smooth as the bishops, making him seem a bit gruffer. He is also much more physically fit.

Biography: A long time ago, fairly long in comparison, a man died after sustaining wounds obtained protecting his family. The family survived, the rival house was defeated, but at the cost of the man’s life. This man was named Oscar Syiano, and this was the beginning of his journey to Erinn.

The man awoke to a city of wide potential called Emain Macha. He was introduced to several in the merchant quarters, and introduced to the guard of the city. Simply put, he joined the guard to hopefully find an individual to protect. In the merchant quarters, he would find such an individual.

Her name was Elena Marot, the daughter of a wealthy merchant in charge of the production of many books and trade goods that were shipped throughout Udalh. Oscar was less interested in the fortune the merchant possessed and moreso with the purity with which Elena seemed to represent. Elena taught Oscar of religion, of the new world, and of many other things. Oscar vowed to protect Elena no matter what.

Eventually, the two decided to be together. For the purposes of trade alliances, the merchant father did not allow Elena to marry the Millitien, but allowed the guard to be a concubine of sorts. In return for this “gracious” allowance, Oscar promised to protect the family. Eventually, the father involved Oscar more in the politics of the family. They prospered for several years, and Oscar was eventually considered a son-in-law, but never officially, by the father.

Elena became pregnant, eventually. This was a joyous event, for Oscar was to be a father with his love, and would raise the child together, bastard or no.

This was not to be. Elena died in childbirth. The child, named Syiano Marot as a namesake to Elena and her love of Oscar, survived. The death of Elena took a toll on Oscar. The death of his wife, which could not have been prevented, and the sight of the baby drained him of all energy and life. Eventually, with the consultation of his ‘father-in-law,’ it was decided that the baby would be best served by the church, where he could be raised well and still be within a walk if Oscar ever could face his sorrow.

Eventually, the merchant died. With no official family member left, the fortune and business was left to Oscar. He has spent his time collecting hundreds and hundreds of books, having one of the most expansive private libraries in all of Erinn. As time passed, he eventually reconnected with his bastard son, Syiano, and taught him alongside the church.

Oscar fought for a while within the several wars and confrontations Emain has been a part of. Due to his religious nature, his fortune, and his expansive knowledge, he rose to the rank of Holy Knight of Emain Macha. He holds this title to this day, but only dons the armor when he is needed. Otherwise, he acts as an advisor to those who feel they need him while he perpetuates his business.

He is a man of genius, of suspicion, and of solid, strong feelings. You will know how he feels about you as he gets to know you. He is one of the kindest people some have ever known. In his case, age has begotten wisdom, even if his life has been mottled by darkness in the death of a loved one and his inability to raise his own son.

Soooo....pretty much this is who Syiano is going to be now. What about the son?

Hell, anything is possible. That is for your information, as you asked a question that was technically answered by the title included "Body Alternate." I believe it was implied by that that a character might be 'alternated' for the other character. My apologies if that was missed.

Sorry for not fully understanding what body alternate meant. Autism and Aspergers might have something to do with that.
