We have THREE NEW STARTERS for a total of SIX STARTERS

For those who don't know, POkemon Smash airs on April 6th or 7th, and they are releasing info on the three NEW starters for X and Y.

NEW POKEMON WITH A FAMILIAR LOOK



LOOKS to be Mewtwo form, possibly a Mewthree? Or just a new form in general.

Though it doesn't reveal anything new, CoroCoro also reveals the pieces about the new Pokémon revealed last week. In doing so, it confirms that it replaces Mewtwo on the movie poster and confirms that it is in fact a new form of Mewtwo, with the poster explanation stating that Mewtwo has awakened and become its new shape. Thanks to gin for translations. We'll provide more on this as and when it comes.

So our fancy new pokemon is officially a new form of Mewtwo.

HUGE update!

The first details of CoroCoro appears to have come out. With special thanks to my friend Gin for translation. First, the Pokémon on the far right is called Gogoat (ゴーゴート literally Gohgohto) and is the Riding Pokémon. It's Grass-type, 1.7m and 91.0kg. You can actually ride this Pokémon in the field. It can learn Horn Leech
The lizard is called Elikiteru (エリキテル) and is a Electric/Normal-type. It is the Generation Pokémon and is 0.5m and 6.0kg. It has a new move called Parabola Charge which heals the user while damaging opponents. It uses solar rays to generate electricity
The bird is called Yayakoma (ヤヤコマ) and is the Japanese Robin Pokémon. It is Normal/Flying, 0.3m and 1.7kg. It announces itself with a beautiful voice. It can use the move Flame Charge
The panda is called Yancham ( ヤンチャム) and is the Naughty Pokémon. It is Fighting-type, 0.6m and 8.0kg. It has a new move called Parting Remark which lowers the opponents stats
There appears to be more including the game's boxarts, and the Pokédex, as well as the region map but it's not completely visible. We'll bring more as it comes so be sure to keep checking. It also promises more information on Gogoat on a later page.
The game is set in the Karos Region which appears to be based on France. You can customise your trainer slightly with hair colour and skin shade. Main city is Miare City which is where it is seen to ride Gogoat

Basically, we got showing off of new moves and old ones. Water Pulse, Leech Seed, Fire Spin from our starters. Yamcham uses Parting Remark. The bird uses Flame Charge, the electric guy uses his Parabola Charge, and then we have Horn Leech from the goat. Also, this gives more insight to movement and shows off the Gogoht riding.

Also, we have some English names.

Following its reveal in CoroCoro on Saturday, The Pokémon Company has now announced the US names of the latest Pokémon. First, Gogoat shall be known as Gogoat. Elikiteru will be known as Helioptile, Yayakoma will be known as Fletchling and Yancham will be known as Pancham. In addition to this, they have also confirmed a few other bits. First, the Karos Region shall be called Kalos and Miare City shall be called Lumiose City. The move Parting Remark will be called Parting Shot and Parabola Charge will be Parabolic Charge.
It also confirms that at certain points you'll be able to get new outfits and accessories for your Trainer!

Serebii also says that the Kalos Pokédex will be separated into three areas: Central Kalos Pokédex, Coastal Kalos Pokédex and Mountain Kalos Pokédex

Plus this pretty much confirms that Kalos is based on France. The main city is called Lumiose City and has a big tower int eh middle. France's main city, Paris, is knows as the City of Lights and is known for a big tower in the middle of it.

Okay, long post.

Due to E3 and Pokemon Direct, we have a bunch of new info!

The first batch of CoroCoro information is seemingly released, though unconfirmed at this time, and this batch showcases more information on the upcoming games, Pokémon X & Y with thanks to gin and StreetsAhead for translation. In this small portion of a scan, it shows a new character called Sana (サナ), who appears to be the character who follows you in the forest within the early trailer. Another image shows a character called Pansy (パンジー), who appears in the anime with Gogoat & Helioptile on July 18th, and the first Gym Leader we know of called Viola (Literally Biora ビオラ), who appears to be a bug Gym Leader in Hakudan City (ハクダンシティ)
13:17: Vivillon's pre-evolutions have been revealed as Kofukimushi (コフキムシ) & Kofuurai ( コフーライ) which should be called Spewpa based on yesterday's information, both of which are Bug-types
13:20: The Lion Cub Pokémon is called Shishiko (シシコ) and is Fire/Normal-type which has a move called Battle Cry which lowers the opponent's attack. It is 0.6m and 13.5kg The flower is Furabebe (フラベベ), the Lone Flower Pokémon, and is Fairy-type and knows the move Fairy Wind. It is 0.1m and 0.1kg
13:25: Starting town is called Asame Town (アサメタウン) and has three characters including Sana, Tieruno and Toroba who are all starting out at the same time as you. You just moved to Asame Town and the other gender character appears in your game known as Callum or Serena respectively. You also appear to have a Rhyhorn live in your front garden.

The special Nintendo Developer Roundtable for Pokémon X & Y has begun at E3 and is providing a large amount of Pokémon X & Y information. This information will be continually updated so keep checking back, and be sure to check the lower update segment for the previous news of the day
Players able to choose between languages in the game itself, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, or Korean. PSS (Player Search System) will allow players to search for others locally or globally (via Wi-Fi) to battle and trade. Split into Friends, Acquaintances and those you Pass By. They can then be promoted all the way up to friends as you interact and can hold up to 100 friends.
Multiple rulesets for battles return. Two new Pokémon: Skrelp is a Poison and Water-type Pokémon. Clauncher is a Water-type Pokémon. You can battle people you Passby and that's what promotes them to acquaintences. Trading remains much the same as before. Interact with an acquaintance more than once and it'll automatically ask you to be your friend. Rhyhorn is a rideable Pokémon. Pokémon-Amie is said to have an additional, but currently unclear affect on Pokémon. Horde Encounters are a new type of wild battle. 5 on 1 battle. May include Pokémon of multiple species rather than just one. Sky Battles confirmed, only Flying-types and Levitators can participate. Talonflame, a new Fire and Flying-type Pokémon has just been revealed. Talonflame focuses on Speed.
A single save file is in the game still. Backwards compatibility "being worked on". X & Y will make IVs and EVs more visible. PSS syncs with 3DS Friend List. Multiple methods of transportation and different movement types in gyms. You can select specific music tracks before battle with a friend. Riding different Pokémon helps in different areas. Rhyhorn in rocky areas, for example. Pokémon are borrowed for the task
 Talonflame, the evolution of Fletchling, can learn Brave Bird, Clauncher can learn Crabhammer and Skrelp can learn Sludge Bomb

During the Nintendo Direct, it was revealed that Pokémon X & Y will include the new Fairy-type which includes Sylveon, Gardevoir, Jigglypuff and Marill and is super effective against Dragon types. Gardevoir is now Psychic/Fairy, Marill is Water/Fairy and Jigglypuff is Normal/Fairy. A new Pokémon was also revealed called Vivilion and one called Noivern.
Noivern's move Boomburst emits an explosive sound wave that damages all nearby Pokémon.
Sylveon has a move called Moonblast, a new Fairy-type move that calls on the power of the moon to attack an opposing Pokémon. This move can be very powerful and also lowers the opposing Pokémon’s Attack stat.
Edit @ 16:15: In addition to this, Vivillon is said to evolve from a Pokémon called Spewpa. No details on this Pokémon have been revealed yet.
A new feature called Pokémon-amie allows you to interact with your Pokémon to help grow your bond. This allows you to play with them and copy their actions. Release date on October 12th worldwide.


And a random tidbit of info: On the Nintendo eShop, the Pokémon X & Y data pages have gone up. These pages don't reveal too much about the games, but do confirm that, like all Nintendo developed games, they will be available for digital download, and the games will contain StreetPass and SpotPass functionality.

Yes, it's a flying living sword. It IS a ghost, so that's a thing. Still, Steel/Ghost combination announced. I think many have wanted this combination.

Ok, new Corocoro scans came in, revealing a TON of info about X and Y.

First, the scans.  In a spoiler.  For those who don't know, Corocoro is a huge gaming magazine ( I think) in japan.  Scans are...well they scan the pages about pokemon, then someone translates the info for us.  Us being Serebii.

The next batch of CoroCoro information has been posted to Japanese forums and this batch showcases more information on the upcoming games Pokémon X & Y. We're currently in the process of translating, with thanks to my good friend StreetsAhead, so keep checking back. Xerneas is Fairy-type, Yveltal is Dark/Flying. Xerneas has an ability called Fairy Aura while Yveltal has one called Dark Aura. Fairy Aura powers up Fairy-type moves while Dark Aura powers up Dark-type moves. Xerneas has a special move called Geo Control and Yveltal one called Death Wing

Pancham's evolution is called Goronda (コロンダ). It is the Aggressive Pokémon, is 2.1m tall, weighs 136kg, and has the ability Iron Fist. It is Fighting/Dark-type. It has the move Hammer Arm and a new method of evolution

The Squids are called Maika (マーイーカ), the Rotation Pokémon is 0.4m tall weighing 3.5kg, and its evolution Karamanero (カラマネロ) the Reversal Pokémon, is 1.5m tall and 47kg, and both are Dark/Psychic-type Pokémon. Maika has a move called Turn Over which reverses stat changes. It's a Dark-type move. Karamanero has the move Hypnosis. They both have either Suction Cups or Contrary.

The pink bird is called Shushup (シュシュップ) and is Fairy-type. It is the Perfume Pokémon, is 0.2m tall and 0.5kg in weight and has the ability of Healer. It knows the move AromaTherapy. It is exclusive to Pokémon Y
The puff ball is called Peroppafu (ペロッパフ) and is also a Fairy-type. Its ability is a new one called Sweet Veil which prevents your allies from falling asleep. It's the Cotton Candy Pokémon, is 0.4m/3.5kg and has the new move Drain Kiss. It is exclusive to Pokémon X

Honedge has the ability of No Guard

Clauncher is exclusive to Pokémon X while Skrelp is exclusive to Pokémon Y

There's a new Gym leader, with the robot arms, called Shitoron (シトロン) while the other Gym Leader is called Zakuro (ザクロ). Zakuro is said to be good at sports
The professor is called Purataanu (プラターヌ possibly romanised into Platane). He will occasionally battle you.
The evil team is called Team Flair/Flare (フレア団). Their purpose is solely to make money
The PSS has various new features. First is the HoloCaster, which gives the latest news on the Pokémon Global Link, without needing access. It has a Happy Sign which lets you see feelings/actions of friends. There are special O Powers which work akin to Pass Powers which you can use and receive from other players. Miracle Trade allows for an "exciting trade" with someone from around the world. It also features connectivity with the Global Trade Station


Our evil team is very shallow this time.  "WE MUST MAKE ALL THE MONEY....ALL OF IT!"
