Personality: Highly protective of those whom he takes it upon himself to protect. Serious and often indifferent towards those he doesn't know well, but can become highly flirtatious and easygoing once he becomes comfortable with someone. Develops a blatant disregard for his own well-being if someone he cares about is in danger.

Bio:
In his life before Erinn, Diedrich was fiercely loyal to his family, not letting anything come between him and them. Even though he had to travel often for his job as a male model, he was constantly in contact with them, making sure they were okay, and would immediately drop everything and return home as soon as possible should anything be wrong. He was especially fond of his little sister Carla, frequently sending her gifts while he was away and making sure to spend quality time with her every time he was able to.
One night, while Diedrich was home visiting his family after a prolonged absence, his family’s home caught fire. He and his parents got out safely, but when he noticed his little sister was missing he immediately ran back into the burning building to find her, not even thinking about the possible consequences. By the time he found her cowering in her room, she was severely burned and barely conscious. He grabbed her and started making his way out of the house, he himself beginning to take significant damage from the flames, but found himself unable to reach the exit, surrounded by burning debris. He forced his way through some of it, but before long he began to succumb to the fire and smoke, collapsing to the ground with his sister still in his arms. The life faded from her body a few minutes before his, and he spent his last moments crying, not for the inevitable loss of his own life but for his failure to protect hers.
After finding himself on Erinn, Diedrich has found himself working as a sword for hire, specifically as a protector of a family’s child or a weaker individual needing to pass through a dangerous place. The guilt from the loss of his sister weighs heavily on him, and he takes his job very seriously, blaming himself for even the smallest injury his clients might sustain and carrying the added guilt with him for some time. Due to the nature of his death he has a big problem with fire, though he has built up enough of a tolerance to be functional around a small flame since he came to Erinn.
