Icarus Gainishigi

Name: Icarus Gainishigi
Age: Twenty Two (He died at that age, when Higgy was a baby, so he's really not that old.)
Appearance: Long red hair, complimented by maroon eyes, with a smile of confidence placed upon his face. His body is covered in barbed wire type coil scars.
Race: Human in body, Same as Higura and Icarus soul-wise
Personality: Righteous in ever aspect of his manner, but not arrogant or conceded. Has an almost ethereal tone to his voice, deep and confident. Has an understanding of emotions, especially that of love and hate. Has a hard time controlling his anger, especially with those who walk the path of evil and injustice, and especially if they hurt innocents. Pretty much, Icarus is a shining definition of everything good in the world.
History: Icarus was a hunter in the Valley of Darkness, Zenka called upon him to take part in an experiment, causing Icarus, and Natsume to be bound to a magical contract with him. So Icarus and Natsume Gainishigi eventually gave birth to their son, Higura. Not all was well though, for Zenka was plotting to kidnap the child and present it to the gods. Icarus and Zenka fought, Icarus was forced to kill Natsume, and Icarus was killed himself. Put on trial, in life after death, Icarus was condemned to 'the darkness' for crimes against the gods. Within the darkness, a maximum security prison for the worst possible souls, Icarus forcibly ripped the contract from his soul, leaving permanent scarring. Teaming up with his cell mate, a man by the name of Gambiouri, the two of them used Icarus's powers to break out of the prison, start a rebellion, and fight their way through the dimension of darkness, to the soul stream.

Upon their journey, they encountered many hellish beasts, and sights, but Icarus continued his journey, hoping to rescue Natsume from the mysterious god of death. When faced with Natsume, she was angry that he had killed her, and he asked her forgiveness, but she wouldn't accept it. The god of death, Zenka's father, Rentalous, fought with Icarus, almost permanently damaging his soul. Icarus was angry, knowing that Natsume didn't understand, chased after the god of death on his own, and then rescuing his beloved wife. Continuing their escape to the Soul stream, they encounter some of the other villagers, decided to bring them along, and eventually ran into several of the gods, in spirit form. Slaying them, Icarus and the others with him, confronted the God of Death, Rentalous, who stood before the gate to the soul stream. Breaking open the great doors, Icarus forced everyone to go on without him, staying behind to fight the god himself.

Icarus defeated the god, and then walked peacefully to the soul stream, later being brought to Erinn.
