Biography:
In her life before Erinn, Haylei was an average girl with a fondness of the written word. (Of course, her name wasn't Hailey then.. but that's neither here nor there.) She wanted to be an author, to get her words out in to the world. When she met Xenark she told him her wish, and foolishly sold her soul to the devil. After all, who believes in devils and souls in the first place? He kept his end of the deal up; and by the next week her work was out on the shelves. He allowed her to enjoy what recognition she had gotten; but soon came to collect on the debt. Xenark killed her, however her soul was intercepted before he could take it.

When she awoke, she was standing face to chest with Nao who explained where she was. But, Haylei would not be given the normal type of life of a milletian. Her soul was placed in to the body of a new born baby belonging to a couple in the sen mag area. Haylei was a very sick child. Weak in body; anemia. Her parents were wealthy enough to afford the best care, she she lived a relatively normal Erinn life. As much as a sick girl could.

Her parents were both in an accident when she was 14. And this could have been a misfortune for her, if not for the 'kindness' of a neighboring Incubus. He bought off her parents property, and offered to care for her as well. Seeing as she had no one else, Hailey took him up on the offer. A short time passed, and the two wedded. She was not the only wife of Lord Aldrich, though. There were three others before her, and in time he took another after.

Their relationship was strained, at best. Haylei did not like the idea of him being with multiple women, and threatened to leave him. But Aldrich wouldn't allow that; and discovered a way to force her in to staying. By feeding from her enough that her soul is dimmed and weak, he could keep her there for her 'benefit.' Always promising that she can leave whenever she is better. For years, she's spent more of her time in the sen mag castle's library, reading. When she is not there, she is escorted to the other libraries in the world, picking up new books to stock the castle with. The only real freedom she has is where they take her; as she has accepted this life.
