Where he's from: France, but moved to Japan after he was born due to parent's death.

How he came to Erinn: Kato was a servant since he was a young boy. He'd always make mistakes, from dropping plates of food, to spilling hot coffee on his master's lap. His master soon had gotten fed up with Kato's mistakes and sent him off to training. Kato went through many punishments, from kneeling on rice to spankings with a paddle. He had always had a rough life as a butler, but soon, he became the perfect butler. As he gotten older, he gained many skills as a butler. He became a rank 1 cheft, always making the best meals, He never spilled another meal or drink, and he always got things to perfection. He soon learned to love his job as a butler to the point where he'd always try his hardest to appeal to his masters.
The day after his twenty-second birthday, his master had taken him out to lunch. They had a nice little party and he couldn't be happier. Although on he way home, he and his master were attacked by a gang of five. Kato tried to defend them, but didn't have the strength to take them all on at once Kato found himself on the ground in an alleyway by a dumpster, his master laid beside him, blood dripping from his lip, both were beaten pretty bad. Kato had looked at his master, the man only gave him a smile and quietly whispered, "You were the best butler... Be the best butler to anyone you choose..." As he spoke his last words, his eyelids fell and he died. Kato looked up to the gang of five, furious, sadden, heartbroken, but he couldn't do a thing. His legs wouldn't move. He was struct with fear as they stabbed a lead pipe into his chest. He coughed up blood and could barely breathe, finding himself dying right beside his master.
He had awoken a few hours later beside a tall woman known as Nao, she told him of Erinn and he agreed to go. He said he'd find himself a new master and do as his old master had wished him to do, and so he did. He met up with the young incubus Kurai, and decided that he would be his new master.

Other things to know: Since his hair and ears are the same color , he hides his ears under his hair to appear human in front of others.
