Summon Fardoragh!
Character Name: Auron
Race: Human
IC Skill Name: Fardoragh Manifest
Power Class:Summon/Symbiotic
OOC Representation: Butler Partner
Description: For a while now, Auron's been in constant mental communication with the spirit of his dark armor. When coming into full acceptance/tolerance of the armor's presence, Auron gained the ability to conjure Fardoragh and bestow upon him a human guise. Auron is only capable of doing this at night, when Eweca fills the air with mana. Fardoragh is capable of fighting and is only as strong as the partner is OOCly, of course. When Fardoragh is knocked out, he is automatically de-summoned and must undergo "hibernation". He repairs himself inside of Auron and while in this hibernating state, Auron cannot transform using Fardoragh's powers nor can he summon him. The hibernation process lasts 48 IG hours (2 days).
Explain relation: Partner is used to represent Fardoragh's human appearance when summoned as well as provide Fardoragh's combat/interactive abilities.
Notes: The summon is only summonable at night. It vanishes when Eweca descends. Anything that Fardoragh is holding when he vanishes, drops to the ground. This doesn't apply to the clothes he's wearing, though. He isn't ghost-like, so he can deal damage and have damage dealt to him as well as interact with the physical world. If the partner is knocked out (0 HP) while in RP, Fardoragh is automatically de-summoned ICly. (I might still have him out for Partner awesomeness OOCly, but I'd make sure to mention that Fardoragh isn't out ICly.)

Re: Summon Fardoragh!
Just a question: Has Fardoragh been established before, and do you have a post you could refer me to for it?
The other thing I'd ask is this: If the spirit in the armor is damaged, what happened to the weapon? Spirit weapons can degrade over time, if I'm not mistaken. Would that mean that, in this sense, if the partner is knocked out, the armor would need some 'repair' of some sort?

Re: Summon Fardoragh!
Actually no. Fardoragh is the name I gave to the dark armor. I figured it could be its own entity as the dark armor -does- speak to you when you're collecting the individual pieces for the DK transformation questline. If you'd like a bio or power post for Fardoragh, let me know and I'll provide one.
I honestly didn't consider that. Would it work if he were to repair over time by "hibernating" inside of Auron, meaning he won't be summonable/communicative with Auron for a set time period? Say an entire IG day (plus the original time limit) before summonable again? Like if Auron summons him one night and Fardoragh gets knocked out, he won't be summonable for another 48 hours game-time.

Re: Summon Fardoragh!
Oh, this is for the mage! Hah, not the Giant. Welp, color me retarded.
That proposal seems amenable to me as a start, certainly! You may be able to work with other things as well, if you think about it. I'll give ya some time to think on how you want to work that mechanic of 'reviving the spirit,' as that's kind of your preference. =P
But as a second question, and clarify me if I'm wrong: A Spirit Weapon with 0 dur is unusable until repaired, aye? Would this mean the 'Dark Armor' is unusable until the spirit recovers?

Yeah. XD Auron is my insane mage, Adhamh is my animal-crazy giant.
Honestly I'd prefer it if it were a time limit thing. I've no other ideas as to how to actively show that Fardoragh is currently in a repair process seeing as I can't apply spirit weapon repair items to DK xD; If you feel the Hibernation limit of 48 IG hours is too short, I'm willing to tweak it. I don't want to make it too long though, honestly.
Yes, Auron will not be able to call upon Fardoragh's power and transform nor will he be able to summon Fardoragh while Fardoragh hibernates.

Re: Summon Fardoragh!
You've addressed my concerns adequately. I'd like to see some other opinions however before I put my approval on this, as there's always the possibility something exists that I may have missed.

Fine with me. I'll add the Hibernation part to the original post.

Re: Summon Fardoragh!
Actually, question. If the armor is 'broken,' as we've already discussed, does this affect Ice-Mage pants?

Re: Summon Fardoragh!
The only way it'd affect him is that it'd make him temporarily sane. Fardoragh is the cause of his insanity and when hibernating, Auron would temporarily regain said sanity.Dellinger wrote:Actually, question. If the armor is 'broken,' as we've already discussed, does this affect Ice-Mage pants?

Re: Summon Fardoragh!
That video has the right pronunciation :V
In all seriousness though, the actual pronunciation is far-DOR-ah (I'd assume the r's are rolled), but I (meaning Auron and Fardoragh himself) pronounce it FAR-dor-ah (R's are rolled).

Re: Summon Fardoragh!
If I may, I would also like to point out that the DK armor actually is unable to be destroyed except by Tarlach and that mysteriousblackwizard.

Re: Summon Fardoragh!
Well yeah, it's not destroyed, it's just set into a state of shock/temporary inability. If it were destroyed, Auron wouldn't be able to use it -at all- ever again.

At the moment, as no one brought up too many other concerns that have been unanswered, this is approved.
