How she came to Erinn: Whether it was hiking on a newly formed mountian in the artificially cooled chambers, or flying in a three minute simulator down to a beach for a week-long vacation, she could do it all. She was a Zwoelf, the highest of the castes. It didn't matter how she spent her free time, as long as she stayed in City. However, curiosity got the better of the care-free young woman and she decided to leave. After several weeks of planning, and under the radar deals, she had finally done it. Her first steps outside the city brought her nothing but pure terror. Rather than seeing the cleanly paved side-walks, or tall skyscrapers filling the vast gap above her, all there was was a stretch of death. The sky above was a sickly red, teeming with pollutants, blocking out what could have been a wonderous sight of four orbiting-moons. The ground below was a mixture of yellow and brown splotches of grass. When she ran back to return she'd found that her exit from the city had been closed, appearantly, she'd forgotten the part of getting back in to the City. After weeks, the inevitable occured, Lenina had died from the lack of nutrients, and of poisoning from the polluted air. When she woke, she found herself walking up white stairs, to a women in black, who offered her a new life in a new world. Still in shock, she went along with it, later finding herself in a place locals called Tir. After a few days, she seemed to calm, re-adjusting with momentary lapses, to her new life.
