Thundernyan the Cat

History: Thunder Nyan Nyan or Thundernyan as she is often referred to as, was once a stray kitten that wandered the neighborhood, usually stopping by Sho's yard for a fun romp that was followed by a generous offering of food. The Marufuji family became used to her coming around ever day and so, with lots of whining and begging from Sho, took care of her, giving her food, water, and shelter every time she came around but never letting her into the house. Despite Sho and Ryo's concerns to officially own her, the object of having to take the cat to the vet for all the required operations and vaccinations added up to a bigger bill than the family could afford and their mother, bless her heart, was far too concerned about parasites and diseases to just disregard procedures and take a chance. Once it was decieded that they would partially "adopt" the tiny blue kitten, Sho was happy to name her Thundernyan, after a Duel Monster Card that he had a slight crush on. Despite the family's urges to give her a "normal" name, like Fluffy or Kiki, the kitten would respond to nothing but Thundernyan or simply Nyan from that point on.

Thundernyan was partially responsible for Sho's inevitable demise. Her idle playing in the driveway while Ryo-Sho's elder brother- pulled up the car, both unaware of the existence of one another, prompted Sho to dash forward screaming in fear. She leapt away in terror, which then forced Ryo to swerve right into his little brother and pin him to a tree. Sho died as a result of all the damage his body took from the crushing. Nobody saw Thundernyan again after the accident.
