Bio: Several years ago, there was a mournful elven mother who had lost her son during the war with the giants. In her grief and wishing to live the rest of her life out with him there beside her, she decided to look into the dark arts to find a way. Concerned for a number of reasons, some of her friends decided to help her before she made an even graver mistake. Though whispered, they brought up the subject of magic similar to that found in some of Iria's dungeons, where stones lived and walked about with a mind of their own. Of course, rocks weren't as soft or gentle as the elf's dear Argent in appearance, and practically impossible to tame - which led them to something else they learned through the human visitors in Filia. In Uldah, there were castles that appeared to house dolls with the same kind of behavior...

Wishing to learn more about this, the grieving elf left Filia with the next human traveler. No one stopped her. It was better she try than be kept in the village where she could only do more harm to herself and/or others should she be hindered. After a long voyage, she found a spot on the outskirts of Dugald's residential area to begin her research in secret. Adventurers were plenty and eager to exchange a few broken dolls and confidentiality for a pocket full of coin - which she had plenty of, seeing as she was willing to give every last piece of her life savings if it meant having her son back in some way. While the wood dolls might've been easier for her to carve into proper shape - seeing as each one was female for some odd reason - she favored the porcelain ones. They just looked so much more smooth and life-like, and of course, that was what mattered most to her.

It took a bit more effort to find someone who could mold and craft what she needed; but it was worth the result. What came out of her payment was a molded porcelain doll perfectly identical to the images she had of her son. Like him, the doll was named Argent. The rest was simple enough. The elf merely had to imbue the crystal core she salvaged from an original doll to house all memories she had of her late son. Easy to do, given practices with the Memory Tower back in Filia. The process seemed to go well, as did activation of the new doll. As Argent opened his eyes, his "mother" felt a joy and sense of accomplishment she hadn't felt in years...

Three days later, she was found by the artisan who helped her - stabbed several times, her spine snapped in three places, and her corpse lying in a pool of her own dried blood. There were only slight traces of a struggle, and no sign of the doll. A month later, residents of Filia began to wonder. The old woman had never returned; but some noticed a lone, robed elf lingering about her house one day. The moment he was approached though, he quickly moved on. Afterward, it was discovered he'd taken up a small residence on the outskirts of the village. No one bothered him - in fact, they were afraid to. Something about the way he held himself and the odd sensation in the air when approached unnerved a great number of them. Over time, those vibes caused him to be placed into a few awful whispers and scary stories involving desert ghosts.

So long as they kept their distance, Argent was fine with it all. So long as they didn't get a good look at him, and find out what he truly was, he didn't care. Honestly, the elves terrified him as well; but at the same time, something in his artificial heart and mind kept him latched to the desert village, unable to tear away. He tried several times to leave; but always ended up coming back sooner or later. It was a real mystery for him, but so long as he wasn't harmed, wasn't approached, didn't have to worry about repeating his horrible crime, he'd be fine.
