Personality: Overly timid. Tends to stammer and stutter excessively. Extremely self-conscious of his bird-like features. He tends to avoid people/confrontations/conversations.

Background: His father was a scientist and created him with the genetics of bird and human. His head was that of a human boy, but from neck-down, his body was coated in feathers. Instead of human feet, he has raptorial claws. The only other parts of his body with visible human skin are his chest to stomach and the palms of his hands. His skin is that of a light shade. The feathers are dark brown. The most prominent part of his body is his wings. His bones are hollow like those of a bird, giving him the ability to fly with said wings. Due to this though, he is very fragile. The wings are dark brown as well with black tips.

When young, his father made an idiotic mistake and placed him in public school. He wore a robe to conceal his feathers and wings, gloves to cover his hands and oversized shoes to house his clawed feet. Though one day, it was a scorching hot and his teacher forced him to remove his robe, revealing the feathered body. Afraid, the young hybrid flew away to a nearby forest where he cried for about an hour. He flew back home, avoiding the populated areas, and arrived at his home, which was on fire. His dad’s research lab was burned down for creating Finn.

Finn ran away and joined a travelling circus. He was part of the circus’s “Freakshow Act”, forced to display his bird-like qualities while inconsiderate people jeered. His natural balance also landed him a position as an acrobat, where he swung and flipped through the air, using his wings to keep his balance. For one show though, he was forced to conceal his wings, the ringmaster fearing that the audience would recognize him as the “Bird-Kid”. He had to walk across a long tightrope with a fiery pit below. Rain from an earlier downpour dripped through the top of the tent and onto the rope. As he neared the end, he slipped on the wet rope and plummeted into the fiery pit. The flames engulfed him and his feathers rapidly until death consumed him.

A snow white maiden in black revealed herself to him and asked him if he wanted to go to a world in which he’d be accepted. He nodded, interpreting it as a way that would remove his avian parts. He arrived in Erinn, Rupes Desert more specifically, and discovered that he still contained his avian self, yet his ears were longer. He wandered, encloaked, through the desert towards Filia. His acrobatic skills and ability to fly still remained as he learned the way of the bow and arrow.

An Avion is already a hybrid....? So.. he is (in theory) 1/4 bird and 3/4 human?

He said Avian, not Avion.


And how is would avian be a hybrid? The term "avian" is derived from the Latin word "Aves", which is the scientific class for all bird species. To say that something is "avian" imparts that it relates or pertains to birds in some way.

Unless it's an avian/avion thingy from something else. But in the real..normal world, Avian is just another word for 'bird', really.
