History:
Sadrielle grew up during the 'War of Sorcery'; where every organized militant force became actively engaged with a futile goal: an attempt to eradicate sorcery, and female sorceresses for good. The term sorcery isn't related to the traditional view of evocation and magic. Anybody can draw on the power that Gaia naturally bestows. What these select few women had ... it was considered a power of God--extraordinary talent for the manipulation of elements around them. The threat they held, even as a singular person, became all too real, when one sorceress single-handedly ruled for twenty years in strict dictatorship of one of the more progressive countries.
They were hunted, and killed--every single one of them. But what these people didn't realize at the time was that a sorceress might pass on, but her powers remain. Before they can join the next world, they must transfer their powers unto another.
At five years of age, Sadrielle was fortunate enough to live in within a remote orphanage--away from the wars, politics, and sorcery. Ironically, the very thing that might have kept her safe, became her downfall. Because of their distance from events happening on the outside, the presiding matron could have never guessed that a random, beaten woman in rags was a sorceress. Nor would she have guessed that she placed her children in danger by allowing her a final resting place. She died the next morning, but before she drew her last breath, she imparted her own curse to Sadrielle.
From there on out, she had a fairly normal life until she hit adulthood. The 'witch-hunt' had finally come to a conclusion, and it was a matter of time before any of the remaining sorceresses were finally caught. During the course of fifteen years, the armed forces realized a better alternative to killing; one that prevented having to track down future successors--they simply froze the sorceresses in time. They couldn't pass on their powers, after all, if they were forced to sustain life within capsules for an eternity. It was a cruel solution, but effective--and it wasn't long before Sadrielle was eventually found out through broken confidences, and wagging tongues. At age twenty-one, she was shipped off never to be heard from again--only to be observed by her keepers for generations to come.
It took seven, long years before Sadrielle found a way to escape her isolation. It was a dream--or at least it felt like a dream. While her body might have been kept in top condition due to the technology at hand, her mind had slowly begun to deteriorate. So... when she was offered a new body. In a new world. She took it, blindly. And so... here she is. It's still a question , for her, if it's all just an erratic illusion, dream, or fantasy. And of course, the question of how much she really -is- in Erinn--if her body was merely left behind while her mind went on a vacation. Heck, she even has a slight suspicion that she's actually in possession of someone else's body--forcing them and bending them to her will, as it were.
Her biggest question, however, centers around one theme: What is she supposed to do now?
Shortened Version:
She's been trapped in a pod for an awfully, long time... and she's rather grumpy now.
