Ralvery, before Erinn, was a little blue jay. While he was a house pet, Ralvery got the royal treatment. He was let out inside the house, and occasionally outside too. But he always returned back home. To he Nancon family.
The Nancon family had many pets. Ralvery, as they called him, was just one of the many varieties of bird they had. They had dogs, cats, lizards, and plenty of inserts. One day, the Nancon family went on a little field trip. They hired a nanny for the pets, but, the nanny they hired was a 16 year old girl and her boyfriend. The Nancons specifically told them, not to take out the dogs, but the kids were dog lovers. They freed the dogs to run around wild, and went to prepare the food. When they came back, the dogs had killed nearly every other pet they had, including Ralvery.

When Ralvery awoke, he was in Erinn, the beautiful Nao stood over him. She gave him a while so he can process everything that happen. He smiled and was sent off to Tir. Ralvery enjoyed having legs, but he always wondered what would it be like to fly again. He heard of hot-air balloons in Iria, and made his way towards the Ceann docks. While he was there, he ran into some slave traders. Ralvery had to make a decision, either to act quick, or run to bangor and try to alert someone. He knew if he ran to Bangor, they would be long gone. So he jumped in the water, and sneaked into the ship. Ralvery then realized a weapon would have been helpful, he had left Eiry a while back. Ralvery snuck around the ship, trying to unlock the giant cages. One of the prisoners, who apparently had been there a while, called the guards out of hope they would let him go, for not trying to escape. The slaver traders capture Ralvery.

Ralvery was tortured and abuse. It's hard to tell if he went deaf because of the beatings or because he was traumatize. One day, the ship was taking a new route around Filia to avoid being caught. But what they slave traders didn't know, is that someone was watching them, the watcher had alerted the elves, and the ship was quickly swarmed with elfs. Most of which were transformed into sages. They quickly slaughtered the traders and freed the slaves, most of which had nowhere to go. The man who alerted the elves agreed to take four children, amongst them was Ralvery.

But this man was no better than the slave traders, he conducted cruel experiments on the children. He used a dry oven to imbue an elemental cylinder on each's hand. Ralvery got the water cylinder. The other three got clay, fire and wind. Though, the children liked him, because he always put them to sleep before his experiments. Though, he wasn't all bad, since he took care of them, gave them food and trained them. He also worked with Ralvery, teaching him how to talk, use sign language and read lips. Finally one day, he told them they were ready to live on their own, he let them go, without telling them about the experiments, allowing them to find out by themselves. The other three disappeared, he never saw them again. But the man continues to follow Ralvery, sometimes acting as his guide.
